I love this post and I love your openness.

This is just another example of how this “administration” is wants citizens sick, uneducated, and afraid so we don’t fight back.

Thank you my friend, xo. We need to support each other so that we don't give them what they want.

SSRIs have saved my life. There seems to be a generational divide in how anti-depressants are seen, and I appreciate you sharing your experience ❤️ Thank you!

My parents' generational attitude toward mental health issues was secrecy - which contributed to my sense of shame and failure. Another reason why I made the choice to be open and honest about meds, therapy, etc. It's ironic that some of the people who have tried to use that against me *cough* that misogynist idiot blogger from our town*cough* clearly NEED meds and therapy.

I have to agree with Sarah 100%! 25 years or so ago I was injured in a motorcycle v car accident which caused me a serious spinal injury that caused severe spinal stenosis which just means the sheath that protects the spinal cord from injury is shrinking and putting pressure on several nerves in my spine. The pain was so incredible I could not walk more than 10 feet at a time. I tried every physical therapy available and finally, a doctor put me on a Fentanyl patch which worked and gave me my life back. Doctors changed and as Fentynal got a bad name they changed me to a couple of oral painkillers, which I agreed to at the time because the doctor assured me that oxycodone was not addictive at all, and the morphine was time release and the combination would work. Now I am physically dependent on oxycodone which is unfortunate, and every time I have to go to a new pharmacy they look at me like I am a leper. Neither CVS, Walgreens, nor Walmart will fill my narcotic prescriptions. I can't tell you how many people condemn people like myself for taking narcotic painkillers. I am sick and tired of being treated like I WANT to take these drugs. I have NO IDEA why people abuse these narcotics, they do not get you "high" unless you consider sluggishness to be a good time. Thanks for another story that hits the bullseye! You are the "Finest Kind"!
